About This Song

My first attempt at an R&B song - may rewrite it again one day. Sung by Miss Molly Rose! The beginning is a little low for her, but she did a great job, especially considering it was her first time recording. Thanks Moo!!!!

Amp her voice up.  Put a touch more compression and reverb on it.  She’s nailing it, bring it forward.

“I must have been a fool” is past tense.  The rest is present tense.  Change this line to “I must be a fool” or, better (chopped) “I’m a fool”.

I Don’t Run Around

Written by Shaun Thomson

You don't know yet
But I caught you
Running around
I know the truth

It’s a sure bet
Gonna be blue
Get so down
That I can't move

I must have been a fool
To trust someone like you
But ooh, your words are magic
No matter what I do
It’s not enough for you
So tell me
Before I let you go

I don't run around
So why do you baby?
I don't run around
So why’d you have to do it babe
Why'd you let me down?

Now I'm feeling
Pretty stupid
Believing in you
For all this time
I was so mad
When my friends said
"He'll never change"
You proved them right

I must have been a fool
To trust someone like you
But ooh, your words are magic
No matter what I do
It’s not enough for you
So tell me
So I can let you go

I don't run around
So why do you babe?
I don't run around
So why’d you have to do it babe?
I’ve never let you down
You know that I’ve been true babe
I don't run around
I thought I knew you
Then I found you out

You hurt me, you hurt me
Oh you hurt me bad, babe
Why did you desert me?
Why did you desert me?
I thought I knew you
Then I found you out
