About This Song

I wrote this song after being at a modeling (I don't model) and talent convention in NYC last week. Its about not overthinking things and just doing what you know. Getting out of out of my head helps me focus on the task at hand. #52wks52sngs

Feedback Requested

Can you relate? Is this something you struggle with? Does the song flow well? Any and all comments welcome!

Fun song for sure! Catchy. Yes, I think we all can struggle with overthinking things vs. just keeping it simple. I know I do. Tell us more about this #52wks52sngs challenge you’re doing?

Hey Dennis! I gave myself the challenge of writing/recording/sharing 1 song every week for all of 2015. I’m working on song number 30 right now! This tune is number 29 from last week! I appreciate the feedback man! Cheers! You can check out everything here - http://www.lukejameslive.com/52wks52sngs

Your stuff is very singable and catchy - plus well written. Do you try to pitch to any publishers? I think your music also has a lot of commercial potential. Another cool song.

OUTTA YOUR HEAD

Some people know, Some people don’t
When push comes to shove and you’re up against the ropes
When you’re where you’ve aimed to be
those butterflies and high high hopes
hooopes

Your heart it longs and aches
To catch that lucky break
Just hurry up and wait

You just gotta get outta your head
You think too much and you are already dead
You’ve put in the time, you know every line
Theres nothing you can’t do, if you can only tame your mind
You just gotta you just gotta get out
you gotta get outta your head

Some people learn, some people burn
When it’s down to the wire and you don’t know where to turn
When you can’t put out the fire
of your passion kindled nerves
Take a deep breath and try this one thing first
(Breathe)

You just gotta get outta your head
You think too much and you are already dead
You’ve put in the time, you know every line
Theres nothing you can’t do, if you can only tame your mind
You just gotta you just gotta get out
you gotta get outta your head

You just gotta get outta your head
Do what you know and forget the rest
Do you feel that beat inside your chest
Give it all you got until there’s nothing left

Pre-Chorus
Chours x 2
