About This Song

Just another love song to my girl from my new EP that I'm finishing up called, Long Time to Be Nowhere, named after another one of my songs.

Charlie a beautiful tune. I liked everything about it, however,; the last verse didn’t seem to fit the rest of the song. The whole song is a tribute to this woman and how much she can affect you. But the last verse kind of takes you somewhere else without (seemingly) any reason.

I loved the easy feel and flow of it

Beautifully done. Something to make the chorus stand out a little from the verses might be nice, maybe some harmonies. I wonder if the implied possession of “you’re all mine” would be off-putting to some of the fairer sex.

Nice sentiments and good lyrics.

Seems to need a neater melody link from verse to chorus.

You’re All Mine

Verse 1
Some people long to see the world
Before their days come to an end
Me, I’m happy with you girl
Living life with my best friend

VERSE 2
You're fantastically alive
Like the sunlight on the sea
You live off love you give off life
And set off fireworks in me

CHORUS
You see me without opening your eyes
You miss me without leaving me behind
You touch me without reaching out your hand
And you know without a doubt that you’re all mine

VERSE 3
I missed the turn down River Road
When you smiled at me that way
I did the same thing coming home
When I thought of you today

(CHORUS)

VERSE 4
Years of wandering old roads
Tends to make a heart grow numb
Waiting for ships that never show
But somehow I knew that you would come

(CHORUS)
