Jayne - great song! I love your use of near rhymes mixed in with true lines. And you paint some great pictures (especially: motel for drifters, Waffle House regulars) - really good stuff.

I don’t usually like a chorus that repeats the same thing over and over, but this one is really engaging. I think the melody and phrasing makes the repetition work.

This is just a really good song. Wish I wrote it.

I immediately liked the guitar intro , when the singing started , I liked it even more , the song built in an engaging way with great lyrics, an ace guitar solo and a perfect breakdown to a second reprise build up . GREAT SONG , GREAT SINGING AND PRODUCTION.

Back To You
written by: Jayne Sachs
May 2014

Another town, another dollar, another mile marker
Wanna come back to you
Another motel for drifters Waffle House regulars
Wanna come back to you

Damn this ol' cell phone of mine
It ain't coming in strong and I
Wanna come back to you

Another smoke, another light, another dark endless night
Wanna come back to you
Another burnt coffee break another country fried steak
Wanna come back to you

This motel fan spinnin' round
Just drags hot air in from this town

Wanna come back to you, back to you, back to you baby
back to you , back to you, back to you baby
back to you , back to you, back to you baby
back to you, back to you

Wanna see that relief on your face
When I drop my guitar case
Oh lord its gonna feel so fine
We'll lock the world outside
Pour us some deep red wine
Jump in that big brass bed
With nothing but time

Inst

7 more days on the road
This heart's gettin' closer to home
