Lorn: if the 60’s come back again, you’re a big star. I love this stuff (all your songs) but, I’m really old.

Thanks very much Glen, you are too kind.  I guess I am really old too, but that is more conducive to songwriting than the alternative.

I didn’t understand it but I enjoyed it anyway. I think some strong power chords in the background would bring the sound of the song more up to date.(What do I know, I’m old too!) Also some reverb on the vocals might be nice.

Elvis & Marilyn

Written by Lorn Mullenix

Life keeps comin' and comin' Can't get out the way
Just keep runnin' and runnin' From yesterday today

Wishing on a falling star Just to keep the angels reeling
Elvis met Marilyn in the park One warm and sultry evening

Hittin' Vegas hard Been living life the same.
Meetings in the dark Forgetting half the names.

Betting on the Midas touch To give this lie some meaning
Been betting and lyin' so much You lost that golden feeling

Spittin' on a falling star Runnin' instead of kneeling
Elvis met Marilyn in the park And never felt the healing

Hittin' Vegas hard Been living life the same.
Meetings in the dark Forgetting half the names.
