Good song Dave!  Very hooky.  Love the bar stool in Dallas line.  Great production.  Not sure if you’re in Nashville full time?  I’m your neighbor up north in Dayton.  Enjoyed the song, thanks.

Dave, this is a great song, lyrically really on the mark and the production and vocals are great.  This is radio worthy.

Dave, Very impressive. Excited to follow along with your music and to learn a thing or two. If you have some time, I’d love to get your thoughts on some of my music. Appreciate you sharing this with us.

Dave,

Of course, I’ve heard this many, many times and have loved it from the beginning. The visuals are great and the melody is really good. Maybe I’m biased, but I’d rather hear you sing and play it versus the demo. I think your groove and vocal make it a better song.

Wow! Dave, this song is fantastic. A very strong chorus, and I love the lyrics…simple but very conversational. Very engaging from start to finish.

Baby I’m Gone

Baby, I'm Gone
©Dave Lenahan & Greg Althammer

I could fix up my old rusted truck, it just needs a new clutch.
Back her down off the rack fill her up, it wouldn't take much.
Make a Left out the drive and a right down our old county road.
Be halfway to Texas, 'for you even notice I'm gone.

(Chorus)
You just don't know what you got till it’s gone.
Someday you'll miss me when I get the strength to move on.
But, I can be free from you here.
It'll just take a couple more beers.
And, Baby, I'm gone.

I could pack a few things, hop on a Greyhound bus.
There’s a barstool in Dallas just waiting for me to fall off.
If I left right now I guess I could be there by dawn.
I know liquor is quicker so I'll line up these shots 'till I'm gone

(Chorus)

Bridge
If you come looking for me
I don't think you'll like what you'll see.
Baby I'm gone.
