light rock contemporary Christian.

Nicely done. It should work well in most Christian venues, because it has that required singability, easy relatability, and predictability (though still unique and interesting).
I would say the chord changes would be difficult for an unpracticed worship band, but that seems to be the growing trend.
Great job. Nice singer, too.

Ever Shining Light

Written by glen king

Ever Shining Light
c. 2013 Glen King

1st. Verse:
There's no shadows where I'm going
Or, darkened valleys to avoid
No evil spirits lurking
Who want to see my soul destroyed,
The pathway is narrow
All my fears are gone
I'm waiting for the day when
You will guide me home:

Chorus:
You are
The Ever Shining Light
That comforts from afar
The Ever Shining Light
The one eternal star
In all of heaven
Nothing shines as bright
You are
The Ever Shining Light.

2nd. Verse:
I'll see a kingdom full of colors
Only angels could conceive
With a garden made of rainbows
Spreading out so gracefully,
I'll walk in splendor
On streets paved in gold
And, everywhere I wander
My eyes will see your glow:

Chorus: (2x)
You are
The Ever Shining Light
That comforts from afar
The Ever Shining Light
The one eternal star
In all of heaven
Nothing shines as bright
You are
The Ever Shining Light.
