About This Song

From my hook book, a title I've long had and decided to write finally. Production wise, I know the naked chorus is old school, but what the hey. Could always change that.

Just general reaction. Thanks!

Richard,

Nothing wrong with old school if it’s done with a new twist or angle.

The song is basically saying “I’m in love”: a universal theme.  Your singer’s response to the situation is one of wondering or amazement.  This response has been done before(e.g.“How do you do what you do to me” by Herman’s Hermits, and in similar songs)

That’s the challenge here; finding a new way to express wonderment or amazement(or any other attitude) at finding love.

Keep looking for that new angle.

All the best.

HOW DO YOU DO
Walking with you on Panama Beach, walking hand in hand
You send me higher than jet airplane, my feet hardly touch the sand
Sometimes I think I must be dreaming, when I look into your eyes
Girl, I’m wondering how you do it, how you touch me deep inside

HOW DO YOU DO what you do to me?
You gotta have something up your sleeve
When I’m holding you I’m in ecstacy,
HOW DO YOU DO what you do to me?

Staring at my screen in cubicle city, got so much to do
So hard for me to pay attention, all I can think of is you
Last night’s kisses linger on, I’m still in a daze
Folks at work all think I’m crazy with this smile upon my face
Ch
No use trying to explain it, doesn’t matter anyway
My heart’s just along for the ride as you send me to outer space
