About This Song

A song I feel everyone can relate to as we all know someone that collects stuff.

Just a fun little tune.

Feedback Requested

As usual any and all feedback welcome.

Hey Tony! What a fun song and you’re right, Granny’s always have little treasures everywhere. Cant tell you how many junk drawers she had, or at least what we considered junk! The recording and production was done really well. I really liked the guitar sound! I really liked the melody and 1st line of the chorus. I think the only thing missing was Lawrence Welk, lol! Nice job, I enjoy it thoroughly!

Granny’s Goods

Written by Tony True

Verse 1
I remember walking in her house there was stuff everywhere
Knick knacks…this n’ that...her shelves were never bare
Everything looked so old like from a hundred years ago
She loved to retell the stories “Here’s how I got this, donchta know”

Chorus
She’s got Pope on a rope soap a figurine of Bob Hope
Vases of every style and color
A cabinet full of dolls that you could never touch
Cause they weren’t toys and worth way too much
So many souvenirs…it all seemed like junk
But now I know the truth behind the money she sunk
Just, some of the things I recall from childhood
We called Granny’s goods

SOLO

Verse 2
Every weekend she’d get Grampa to take her to yard sales
Looking for things that caught her eye like that bust of Prince Of Wales
The amazing finds that she made piled up over the years
And everything had a place in her heart she loved them all so dear

SOLO

Verse 3
Now my grandparents are gone and I’m left with all her stuff
When I look around all I see are memories and it’s oh so tough
To decide what must stay or go cause she loved it all the same
And to throw it out after all this time seems such a shame

Yes just, some of the things I recall from childhood
We called Granny’s goods
