Hey, Chad- thanks for sharing your song with us. Dig the groove. Like the title. Has me intrigued. It’s fun.
My only question is this… if you’re in Tennessee, why are you mentioning West Virginia and Missouri. You don’t drive through either state on the way back to Dallas. It’s a small thing, but I’d kinda like to see you use states or towns in between you and Dallas. That would only be Arkansas, probably, so not much to work with…. just a thought, though. And the “Kentucky” line bumps for me. Just an unnatural way of saying it. And I’d like to hear that title “Testify Tennessee” more. It’s cool. Use it more.
There’s definitely some good work in here, though. Keep at it.
Hope that helps. Please pay it forward by leaving a comment on another writer’s song. Doesn’t have to be in-depth or authoritative- just your thoughts. The best way to GET feedback is to GIVE feedback, after all! Thanks!

Testify, Tennessee
By Ava Paige, Elysse Yulo, Chad Albert Sellers
VERSE 1
She don't answer, when she does she ain't listening
She's heard it all from me before when I go missing
Broke down, where there's a sign but no town, population 23,
Down here in Testify, Tennessee
SINGLE CHORUS
Can I get a witness, West Virginia
Can I make bail, Missouri
Cuz it’s a long road back to Dallas
And I pray to God, pray to God she’s waiting there for me
VERSE 2
Plead my case, she throws it outta court
She’s the judge, she’s the jury, in the morning I have to report
On my knees, baby please, forgive me, I’m just sleepin’ in the backseat
Down here in Testify, Tennessee
DOUBLE CHORUS
Can I get a witness, West Virginia
Can I make bail, Missouri
Cuz it’s a long road back to Dallas
Is she waiting there for me?
Can I get an alibi, Alabama
Get a one call, Kentucky (can tuck e)
Cuz it’s a long road back to Dallas
And I pray to God, pray to God she’s waiting there for me
SOLO
REPEAT DOUBLE CHORUS
OUTRO
Well, I’m waiting on a new transmission
To get me out of Testify, Tennessee
