Song about finding the right one and the uncertainty that comes with new love!
Would like feedback on the music and lyrics
Hi, Stephen!
Thanks for sharing your song with us. I like that the song has some good tempo to it. Great way to start off the song with strong imagery. Pulled me right into the story. Nice work.
I wish you’d kept up the strong “showing” imagery from the 1st 2 lines- put more imagery throughout the song. I think you can get away with that simple, not-too-original chorus if you really set it up by putting the listener into the moment with the two of them as it happens. That way when the singer says, “Baby, I wanna love you…” you feel the urgency of the moment. But they’re not in-the-moment here, and it doesn’t have the energy of the urgency. If that makes sense.
But there’s some good stuff. I like that it’s tempo, positive, love sung me-to-you. Those are all really helpful when trying to get songs recorded.
Hope that helps. Please pay it forward by leaving a comment on another writer’s song. Doesn’t have to be in-depth or authoritative- just your thoughts. The best way to GET feedback is to GIVE feedback, after all! Thanks!

(INTRO)
Dust settles on the corn rows
As I drive down this ole dirt road
Thinkin' bout your soft touch
And those big blue eyes of yours
Girl you looked like an Angel
The day you walked in my front door
And damn you sure make me feel
Like I ain't ever felt before
I wonder what it'd be like
To hold you close every night
And see your face come morning light
With your body next to mine
(CHORUS)
Cause Baby I Wanna-Baby I Wanna
Know ya like know one knows ya
Baby I Wanna-Baby I Wanna
Love you like you've never been loved before
I Wanna love you like you've never been loved before
(INST)
You make my heart skip a beat
When you wrap your arms around me
And Lord knows how lost I'd be
Without you next to me
So tell me are you thinking like I'm thinking
This just might be the one
Do we give it a shot baby-or just shut our eyes
And Run baby run
(CHORUS)

Hi Stephen, I like the feel of your song and the chorus. The lyric is a bit cliche, nothing what I haven’t heard before, I’m missing some great lines and more imagery, but all in all it’s a nice song. Like your voice and playing.
