I wrote this song in the 70's and it has been Published with peer Southern about a guy/girl who wakes up to find his girl gone and then realizes it was only a dream
Feedback on the song requested
Thanks for the response Frank, it’s actually just a chorus or a bridge and I agree I like that part also which I wrote much later than verses. The singer on it put a very nice harmony to it; her idea and I loved it so I kept it, But that is a nice idea. I just did it as a demo so if I found someone who might want to do it, they could do that twice

I could def see this as a 70’s movie soundtrack… Simple and straightforward but sometimes that’s all you need!

Definitely a film/tv song to pitch! I see requests fairly often for film/tv syncs that are requesting original music from past decades, such as the 70’s, and they are very specific about the requirement that the track has to be an authentic recording that was really recorded back in that era or decade. It’s a nice sounding song. It’s kind of a sad song that has a kind of happy, love song feel to it.

Yeah I agree it is a bit of a sad song, but it was a sad time for me anyway, I was thinking of grabbing a Girl (not literally) and making a utube video of it..Gotta get my video buddy on board though

Hey, there dig this 70’s style tune. Love that era of music. And I do agree that you should restructure the song around that one catchy part mentioned above. It’s a good hook, would be a great chorus.

Joseph, beautiful guitar playing and excellent chord changes. It felt like a mixture of influences; jazz, standards, 60’s folk, classical waltz, and even a little latin with the fingerpicked guitar and melancholy love theme. Very well played, although while the vocalist was competent, the song might have benefitted from a more emotive vocal in terms of working the dynamics. Overall, my 2 cents: Nice job!

Thanks Al, the girl who sang it really isn’t a country singer she’s more of a Jazz lady but it was just a demo for pitching purposes but I thank you all once again ,I will be posting a few more when thay are ready

Hi Jo, the song has a strange structure, there is a very sweet and catchy part, but it appears only once. Is it a bridge or a chorus? Anyway this part would be a great chorus and should be repeated more often.
