About This Song

I wrote this for my band and it was a fun bar song. Well received by the common folk but the A&R types, not so much.

Hi Charles, nice party song, thank you for sharing it.
I guess there are so many songs like this one that you have to be really original to get attention from the A&R guys.
My first thought was that the vocal emphasis isn’t really on the hook, it’s almost going down a bit. I would recommend to shorten the hook line like ‘I might have made’ /break/ ‘bad decisions’, with a lot of emphasis on ‘bad decisions’.  Doing it this way you can also better animate your audience to sing along the hook. Just a thought!

Believe it or Not, I think this is a Jason Aldean song, thing is You have to hit the right A&R people find one that represents Jason Aldean if that’s even possible

Hi Charles
I love the rhythm and melody of this song. It’d get me up dancin’.
Love the lyrics. (I don’t know music so I can’t comment on any other parts.)
I’d love to hear Easton Corbin sing this.
Nicely done.
Cheers

Great party!

There was tequila, and there was beer
Pretty soon I’m grinning from ear to ear
There was Fireball the devil’s elixir
Goes down real smooth don’t need no mixer
Woke up this morning with horrible visions
I think I might have made some BAD DECISIONS

There was her, and she was fine
I got the chills running up my spine
Hormones, Hornitos clouded my thinkin'
Nothing left to do but just keep on drinkin'
Woke up this morning with horrible visions
I think I might have made some BAD DECISIONS

Wanna say regret but that's too weak 'a word
But the lines of reason got kinda blurred
Call it a fluke but that would be a lie
Living on the edge seems to gets me high

There was the sun glaring through the glass
Glance past the pillow at that fine ummm ummm ummm
The front door slams and a voice calls "honey"
I'm out the window so fast it ain't funny
Woke up this morning with horrible visions
I think I might have made some BAD DECISIONS

Woke up this morning with horrible visions
I think I might have made some BAD DECISIONS

Woke up this morning with horrible visions.....
I'm pretty sure I made some BAD DECISIONS
