Days get busy, and life gets complicated, but when we take the time to catch our breath we soon realize the value of just an ordinary day.
Yes, sometimes it is just the unexcited, the normal everyday life that makes us happy and satisfied. You made that wonderfully clear to us. I wrote a song with a similar message called ‘Mount Everest’ and it can also be found here on Frettie. I’d like to know what you think about.

Children gigglin' half awake, spillin' milk and frosted flakes - on the floor
Every day's the same routine, washin' faces brushin' teeth - then out the door
The noise of young'uns runnin' round
How I've come to love that sound

Another link in my life's chain
Each mornin' turns a page
For twenty-four more of the same
I'm thankful for each ordinary day
Saturdays they play non-stop, with the neighbor kids on our block - till after dark
Sundays we go for a drive, half the time we're tryin' to pry - kids apart
The noise of young'uns fussin' loud

I'm overworked and underpaid
But if you'd ask me what I'd change
I'd say how fast they get away

Birthdays, PTA, ballgames are wearin' us out
