That’s a cool one. Could be the chorus is a little bit ‘wordy’ - but I’m not sure if it harms.

Ditalian Cole

Potentially, a good contemporary country song. Lyrics are sung very fast, especially in the chorus. A lot is squeezed into the chorus. Basically, the same melody in the verses and the chorus. And an intriguing title.

VERSE 1
D G Bm A
Old Dodge out late, curfew don't wait
Your curves, George Strait (hey)
Pac man with the town cop, fishtailin’ on fresh rock,
One kiss, baby, don't stop

CHORUS
D G Bm A
You’re hometown now with that city smile
Baby come on over it’s been awhile
Let me show you that this country mile ain’t never going out of style
We’ll start way out on the edge of town
Won’t even stop when the sun goes down
Girl, remember when we were lovin’ from the outskirts in

POST CHORUS (G Bm A )
Your hand in mine
Bullet hole speed limit signs
Way back from the county line
We’ll start again from the outskirts in

VERSE 2
Same truck, more rust, second shot, same us
Still shine under this dust (hey)
Head high cornrows, dippin’ where the creek flows
Smoke ring halo, that spot that only we know

REPEAT CHORUS/POST

BRIDGE: G A D (pinky) Bm A G A D
There’s no place in town, that we won’t touch
And on the way in we’ll get back to us
What do you say, because...

REPEAT CHORUS/POST

Old Dodge out late, curfew don't wait
Grown up, never change
