This song was processed in 5 different studios. Except the vocals everything is homemade. The vocalist Dave Demay was Star Search Champion in 1989. My son Dennis played the guitar solo at the end. My friend Kai played the keys and did the arrangement.
I appreciate your feedback!
Again, your tracks are surprising given the fact that you are German. I would never know. This sounds country to me but I’m not thoroughly versed in all things country. They say Germans are very fastidious and hard workers, and your country tracks are evidence of that. You are remarkably adaptable. If I’m going to pick on one thing, country tends to have a large Conservative following and a certain small segment of Conservatives have a beef with Starbucks. Their issues with them are based on many grievances, so some may not appreciate that reference. Then again, Starbucks might appreciate it. I don’t have a problem with it though.

Haydee - thank you for your encouraging feedback! I also have learned something today. I already knew that it is better to avoid brand names, now I know why. I thought in case with Starbucks it would be harmless, because Starbucks is kind of an institution and very popular in the US. Next time I’ll take a closer look.

Everything changed
I liked hanging with my buddies
drinking beer clowning around
cruising through the midnight streets
going out on the town
had a girl from time to time
but I wasn’t that for-real-guy
it never lasted long enough
to taste her mothers apple pie
It happened on a cloudy day
in a Starbucks cafe
when I pushed the door and ran into
a girl like you…
And everything changed
and a taste of spring was in the air
everything changed
I didn’t look but I found you there
never pictured this could happen
never planned to fall in love
till heaven sent this angel from above
and everything changed
When you handed me my coffee
our eyes met for a while
I wanted to say something nice
but only made it to a smile
My heart was beating faster
while everything around slowed down
when you smiled fondly back at me
I felt my feet leave the ground
I was spoiled and liked to play
till this grey and cloudy day
went for a coffee and a muffin too
then I found you
And everything changed
and a taste of spring was in the air
everything changed
I didn’t look but I found you there
never pictured this could happen
never planned to fall in love
till heaven sent this angel from above
and everything changed
A little country church you make the scene
smiling bright and looking like a queen
it seems like only yesterday
but it’s been a year since you’ve come my way…
And everything changed
and a taste of spring was in the air
everything changed
I didn’t look but I found you there
never pictured this would happen
never planned to fall in love
till heaven sent this angel from above
and everything changed
Everything changed
everything changed
you’re an angel sent from heaven
everything changed
