About This Song

I was blessed to have country artist Matt Westin cut this song for his album "Legacy".

I really like the that you don’t feel the rain with unselfish love.  Don’t know if that’s true. They usually feel it, but don’t show it.  Either way, I like it.

Hey, Marvin!  Congrats on the cut!

You went “Jesus” in the last verse, right?  I had to connect the dots, but I got there.

Overall, good song- good message, good imagery.  Nice work, as usual!

Thanks Andrea and Brent, and you are correct Brent…the third verse is about Jesus and Mary. Thanks for listening and commenting!

fwiw, I didn’t get as much of a “taste and feel” of the song as I do from a number of your other songs—in other words, I didn’t feel as “connected” to the song as I have felt with a number of your songs—of course, remember this is simply one man’s opinion—“your mileage may vary”  smile

Don’t Feel The Rain

Written by Marvin Adcock

She’s standin’ in the rain, but she don’t care
Because her heart’s another place
She’s watchin’ as her son gets on that bus
She won’t leave till she knows he’s safe

Unless you live to feel it, words just won’t explain
Unselfish love, she don’t feel the rain

He’s standin’ on a corner and it’s pourin’
His sign held high for all to see
It says I’m lookin’ for a job cause the one I lost
Wasn’t much but fed my family

Unless you live to feel it, words just won’t explain
Unselfish love, he don’t feel the rain

Rain falls in
Life and then
Love heals pain
And shields the rain

He takes His final breath and bows His head
His work on earth is finally done
With the last beat of his heart the sky grows dark
Another mother holds her son

Unless you live to feel it, words just won’t explain
Unselfish love, they don’t feel the rain

Once you live to feel it, life won’t be the same
With unselfish love, you don’t feel the rain

You don’t feel the rain
