Now don't ya want it to rain in paradise! Co-writes Emily Henline/Jean Nolan/Kay Mott
Any and all.
Ah! Wow! Ok,.. where the heck is this island? I’m there! - Love it, and whata’ super commercial song!
I’ll tell ya, I really like the phrasing or lyrical flow of this a lot. The chord changes at ” rain in paradise” are the little super nugget freebie for the listener. Hard to find ANY negatives here at all. Other than, on a day like this, who draws the short straw and has to go flip the record over, huh??? Bummer!! I would want this day and this song to NEVER end!—HAHAHA! Very nice job and wish you much success!

Shane, how nice are you:) You caught the vibe - that’s what we wanted. Jean and Emily are the melody people. Awesome people! Jean is the musician. I’ll check out your music and thanks for ‘stoppin’ by’.

Oh, Shane, to answer your question, my husband took that picture on the Big Island, Hawaii. (Near Waikaloa)

Rain in Paradise
Emily Henline/ Kay Mott/ Jean Nolan
Raindrops rollin down palm tree leaves
Front row sets to an empty beach
Not a soul in sight it’s just you and I
Forget about that island hike
It’s way too wet to scuba dive
No banana boat ride let’s just stay inside
It’s a slow it down hang around, ain’t no sense in going out make a little magic to the vinyl sound
Kinda day
Let the waves be waves
Pour your love on me
Girl you’re everything
That I’ll ever need
I would trade a sunny day anywhere anytime
For a little rain in paradise
The way you’re dancing round that little screened in porch
Let your clothes fall down on the sandy floor
Baby maybe that’s what God made rain for
It’s a slow it down hang around, ain’t no sense in going out make a little magic to the vinyl sound
Kinda day
Let the waves be waves
Pour your love on me
Girl you’re everything
That I’ll ever need
I would trade a sunny day anywhere anytime
For a little rain in paradise
Everyone’s coming for the sunshine
But we’ll keep praying for cloudy skies
And rain in paradise
It’s a slow it down hang around, ain’t no sense in going out make a little magic to the vinlysound
Kinda day
Let the waves be waves
Pour your love on me
Girl you’re everything
That I’ll ever need
I would trade a sunny day anywhere anytime
For a little rain in paradise

I LOVE this!!! Certainly commercial market in my opinion. Here are few critiques….
Line 3: Instead of Its just you and I, I would say but you and I…minor detail but may sing better.
2 Verse: I was so hooked and then It dropped back into the chorus. I was excited the hear the next line so maybe that verse should be longer??
Bridge: I would just keep two lines and lose “and rain in paradise”
These are simply opinions…either way you have a great song here! I hope Brent sees this and comments. GREAT JOB!!
