This is one of the first songs I ever wrote, I was 18 years old. This man is very lonely and has been for some time in his life. He longs for the affection of his love and the comfort of knowing that he is needed by her.

Nice melody and arrangement…
However without the lyrics posted I found it more difficult to honestly comment on the lyrics…there were a few things that stuck out in my mind.
it’s just more story line stuff…a little cleanup would clear it up. “I need someone to hold me when no one else is there”. Maybe say instead…
“I need someone to hold me cause no one else is there” Just completes the idea better in my mind.

I can definitely hear your emotion in this. I do think it needs a soaring chorus with different chords. There are some songs that just have verses and nothing else, but they are few. Thanks for sharing!!
