About This Song

This is a song inspired by my daily devotional, and a reading of the book of Joel. We are encouraged to fight against the godlessness that infiltrates the body of Christ. This song applies this idea to our individual walks with Christ encouraging us that LOVE IS ON THE WAY!!!.

Hi, Rusty!  Thanks for sharing your song with us.  I like that it has some tempo.  I like the internal rhymes of the 3rd & 4th lines of verse 1.  I like the repetition of the title in the chorus- leaves no doubt about the title.  I also like the “hope” that’s baked into the hook.

Not sure what you mean by the “wandering stars” line in V2.  Takes me out of the song when I have to think about it to try and figure it out.  It’s a mental and emotional speed-bump.

Hope that’s helpful.  Please pay it forward by leaving a comment on another writer’s song.  Doesn’t have to be super-detailed or anything, just a thought or two.  Thanks!

Love Is On The Way

Love Is On The Way
Copyright 2017 Rusty Perez

v1
Hear the call, a love that's like no other
Through the noise, the voice of God the father
Crashing waves, of shame, will not drown out the sound.
Blowing winds, of change, will not erase the name

c
Love is on the way, as we sing your glory
Love is on the way, as we praise Your name.
Love is on the way, as we tell your story.
And proclaim, we proclaim,
love is on the way.

v2
Through the dark, the warmth of love is rising.
And the sun, just under the horizon.
Wandering stars, in space, will not lead us away.
Clouds of doubt, may come, but they will not hide Your face.

C repeats.
