About This Song

Brent put on a song title challenge in The CLIMB, so I decided I needed a title that would catch his ear, hopefully. That's all I want to say, for now

Hey, Michael!  Good to see this title- again!  Thanks for submitting it to the Song Title Challenge on The C.L.I.M.B.  Johnny and I had so much fun riffing on this one.

There’s a lot I like here.  I like the tempo/vibe.  I like that it’s a positive me-to-you love song.  (I mean… not “me (Brent)” to “you (Michael).”  I meant “me (the singer)” to “you (the female listener”).  Wow.  That got awkward quickly.

Anyway, I also like that there’a a lot of imagery.  Nice work!

Please pay it forward by leaving a comment on another writer’s song.  Thanks!

2nd Luckiest Man In The...

Written by Michael Casali

Had to get under my old truck
To drive over and pick you up
That machine always makes me late
But the way you're looking, dang,it was worth the wait
Got grease on my best jeans
But looking at you, who wouldn't want to be me?

I could stumble across a diamond in the dust
Walk on a beach when a pearl washes up
Hit seven when I roll the dice, play the lottery, win it twice
But I have found my pot of gold, cuz tonight, I got you to hold
And without you all I could ever be
Is the Second luckiest man in the world

If my rust bucket dies in the drive
Girl I'm not too worried tonight
We got a blanket and a swarm of starI'm good if I'm where you are
Everytime you lay a kiss on me
I'm the kinda rich I would'nt trade for anything

I could stumble across a diamond in the dust
Walk on a beach when a pearl washes up
Hit seven when I roll the dice, play the lottery, win it twice
But I have found my pot of gold, cuz tonight, I got you to hold
And without you all I could ever be
Is the Second luckiest man in the world

I'm the guy wishing that he knew ya
Did my best just trying to get to ya

I could stumble across a diamond in the dust
Walk on a beach when a pearl washes up
Hit seven when I roll the dice, play the lottery, win it twice
But I have found my pot of gold, cuz tonight, I got you to hold
And without you all I could ever be
Is the Second luckiest man in the world
