Really like the hook, and you’re phrasing is great. Melody and feel of the song is fun and upbeat and both the melody and the chorus are like an “ear-worm” - they get stuck in your head easily. I like it!

I dig it!  I can imagine it with a full band and a couple of lead guitar licks thrown in.  A few suggestions though…

Since it is a party song, I’d consider changing the title to “Party Like We’re Backstage”.  This would also reinforce the lines in the chorus.

The last line of the first verse sounds rushed… one syllable too many in it.  Maybe drop the “way”, or maybe change it to “in the last”.

Be careful when using technology terms in a song, as tech becomes outdated, and therefore the song too.  Are they still called cell phones?  I call mine a mobile phone.  May want to revise to the old trusty “lighters”.

A few things to think about, but I think it has possibilities.

Thanks Kris and Phillip, and good points Phillip!  I’ve definitely heard the comment about technology before, but I honestly didn’t even realize we had done it here…as far as what they’re called, it’s probably a mixed bag (I call mine a “cell” personally), but who’s to say if they’ll even still be around 5-10 years from now?  Easy enough fix though.

Thanks again!

Backstage
(Brad McKinney, Steve Smentek, Scott Voelkerding)

No velvet ropes, no fake ids
Everybody here is a VIP
No crowd control, don’t need a pass
Don’t matter if you’re front row or way in the back

Get those hands held high
Are you ready for one helluva night?

[CHORUS]
Let’s get crazy
Hey we got all night gonna party like we’re backstage
Crazy
Maybe stay all night and party like we’re backstage
We ain’t stoppin, keep this place rockin, raise a little hell and misbehave
Let’s party like we’re backstage

Bud Light, Coors Light, Jack on the rocks
Come on throw down whatever you got
Pre-game shots and post-show smoke
A damn good time that’s how we roll

Bands on eleven
You all know where this headin’ tonight?

[REPEAT CHORUS]

Raise those cell phones to the sky
Light it up like the Fourth of July
Let me hear ya one more time

[REPEAT CHORUS]
