Would you be ready to harmonize?
If I write a song about your big blue eyes?
Would you be ready to love someone?
If I said to you that you’re the only one?
You really ring my bell
It’s not that hard to tell
Now I’m afflicted, and I’d say quite constricted
My poor heart is reeling … conflicted by a feeling …
Like the launching of ships, a lunar eclipse, across my lips
Rockets do fly by … Hey, hey
Could you be ready to go with me?
On a starlight trip to see the galaxy?
If you knew that I could take you there?
Would you come with me to start a love affair?
You really ring my bell
It’s not that hard to tell
[INST]
So let us take that magic carpet ride
And sail the Milky Way just you and I
And we’ll return to live in harmony
And sail our ship upon the ancient seas
You really ring my bell
It’s not that hard to tell
Are you ready to go with me, now?
On a trip to see the galaxy, now?
We’ll cruise around the sun, count the stars, every one
We know we’ve just begun … rockets do fly by … hey, hey
Launching of ships, a lunar eclipse, across my lips
Rockets do fly by … Hey, hey
[DRUM 2 BAR]
You really ring my bell
It’s not that hard to tell [REPEAT OUT]

Hey, Bob! Thanks for sharing your song. You know, there’s some stuff I like here. When the production started, I wasn’t sure where this was going. It’s really a retro-throwback production, melody and vibe. I like that it’s positive, love, and has some groove to it. I like that the melody stays interesting. It doesn’t sit in the same place too long, and it’s a nice, feel good melody. I don’t think it fits in with current pop radio, but it’s a cool retro thing.
I hope this has been helpful. Please pay it forward by leaving a comment on another songwriter’s song!
