Wrote this after a trip to Florida. Sat down with my friend and songwriter Gil Grand and did some reworking of
the verses and melody. Gil is singing the demo.....

Hey Keith! Love this song…I’m a big sucker for the Verse/Refrain. I couldn’t tell if the recording is your new version, or if the lyric is the updated one….but either way, there’s a lot to like here. The vibe is great, great idea (stuff’s going bad, but everything is cool). You may have an opportunity to sprinkle in a few specific details, like in the verse about traffic, you could say “traffic’s backed up for miles on I-10”...just a thought. Nice work!

Hey Keith ... never heard the original so I can’t comment on the “re-write”, but I dopn’t understand why you didn’t wrap up the chorus with the hook “everythings cool”? Great feel. Your co-writer has the perfect voice for this tune… blessings on ya <><

(You might be able to drop the “alone” in “any day alone with you is a holiday” since there are other people in the Tiki bar, etc. I wonder if you could end your chorus along the lines of “holiday… Let everything go wrong, baby I don’t care as long… as I’m with you… so everything’s cool.” Either way, I like this chorus better. Nice work!
I wonder if that would be more applicable to each of the verses. You’d lose the visuals (which are good), but you beach and the pool really don’t show up anywhere in the song. You have the sand in the floorboard, so I see them in the car- I never see them on the beach or by the pool. I know they’ve BEEN to the beach, but I don’t see them there.
Just a thought.
Oh, and the last verse doesn’t bother me this time around. I dig it.
