Larry,
There’s some cool stuff in here.  I love the “sunset” line at the end of the 1st verse.  What a cool, visual way of saying that!  I also like how you compare your life to a tall, tall glass you’re sipping.

I wish the first couple lines of the chorus pointed more toward the hook, like the tall tall glass line did.  I didn’t really get how her warm breath and a favorite place really fit with the idea of “not half done.”  Maybe if it meant “it’s like loving you,” etc., it would make more sense to me.

There’s some cool stuff.  I see that both your songs have positive messages- I appreciate that!  Keep writing!

By the way, please pay it forward by leaving a comment/review on another writer’s song.  Thanks!

Thank you Brent for your insights and suggestions.  I didn’t mean for you to write feedback on both of my songs but truly appreciate you taking time to do so.  That means a lot.

I completely understand your thoughts here.  I was definitely pointing towards the ‘normal’ things that occur in life as a way to suggest that those continue to give me hope to keep living it.  Regardless of my intention here you make a great point.  ‘You’ need to feel the same thing.

Thanks Brent.  I am enjoying this experience on Frettie.  What a ‘safe’ way to grow and learn.

Verse 1
The years I’ve lived have passed those I have left
But there’s more to do
I’ve started my descent down the other side
But there’s more to see
I’m not finished with this walk, no, I’m just warming up
I only hope that my sunset’s as pretty as when my sun came up

Verse 2
The hands on the clock move faster downhill
But there’s so more to touch
Your sweet kisses fill my endless cup
Time after time I drink it up
I’m not finished with this tall, tall glass, I’m just sipping it
I am thankful for this life, I’m gonna keep on living it

Chorus
It’s like your warm (warm) breath on a cool (cool) dayIt’s like your favorite place to stay
I understand that I’ve been blessed and know I'm not half done
No, I'm, not half done
I’ve got half left

Verse 3
The last line of my favorite song's on the radio
Play it again, there’s more I want to hear
Say it again, your sweet voice is music to my ears
Every warm embrace fills my soul

Transition
I’m gonna keep on going on my way
Fulfill my senses each and every day

Chorus
It’s like your warm (warm) breath on a cool (cool) day It’s like your favorite place to stay I understand that I’ve been blessed and know I'm not half done
No, I'm, not half done
I’ve got half left
