Hey, Ronnie.  Pretty clever, what you’re doing with the title.  I wonder if you might want to serve it up a little differently.  The title sounds like the answer to a question.  Why not ask the question in the verses?

“Who made the heavens and the earth?  Who is worthy of all praise?”

You are Him.

Or make the it the conclusion of a statement:

“Only one could pour out the oceans.  Only one could forgive my sins… And You are Him”

I think something along those lines would set up your title a little better.  Just my thoughts!  Thanks for sharing!

Hi Brent, thanks for the feedback. It was awesome! I was trying to go for a praise moment during the chorus and a worship moment during the verses.

I like your thoughts but what comes to mind for me in that regard is Phil Wiickham’s This Is Amazing Grace.  I was actually trying to go for an Aaron Shust style song. I really like his song called My Saviour, My God.  It was inspired by an 1873 poem by Dorothy Greenwell.

There’s a big story behind this song and TBH, I’ll have to pray about it first before I make any major changes.

Thanks again for the great feedback,

You Are Him
(Ronnie Glenn)

God
God You are
God You are awesome
Yes You are Him
God
God You are
God You are awesome
This is my You are hymn
Yes You Are Him

I pray, I pray daily
I give thanks and praise
To You I owe my life
For showing me the way

I humble myself before You to listen
As Your voice touches my soul glistens

CHORUS

People, they sit and walk
With You all around me
Some are searching to find
That door to Your Majesty

I do know my life hasn't been the same
Always believing in Your glorious name

CHORUS

Before I leave this place I call home
With Your grace I know I'm not alone
