The idea is very original! I really like the message and the lyrics are PRO written. I honestly really like the message, a song people can really relate to, which as a listener of music, I love turning on the songs that fit my moods and thoughts. I would turn this song on because it’s a song I could relate to, feels good to hear it through music.

Love this entire song! It’s radio play all the way. Catchy. I waited until I listened a few times and, just as I suspected, I was humming the melody over the course of a few days. The lyrics make me think and keep my interested. The one thing I though was the word “night” in the last line threw me off a little…seemed like it should be the word “time”, even though time is used earlier in that verse. I wasn’t really thinking (just enjoying) during the entire song until that word and then I thought “you can’t earn that in a night”. THAT is being really picky and it certainly wouldn’t keeping me from having it on my playlist! Love it! Thanks for sharing.

I sit on the front step
Up too late for sleeping
Man, I hate that bed
All it does is get me thinking
So I pack that pack
Light up some self destruction
Let it lay me back
For the night that I got coming

CHORUS:
Throwing rocks in a muddy river
One for each regret
Writing the past a goodbye letter
Sending it off with a match
Been chipping away at a heavy stone
That ain’t half what it used to be
Working on, working on, hard working on
Forgiving me

Well, the shock wore off
And that grapevine quit talking
You moved on
Me, I’ve just been walking

CHORUS: [REPEAT]

BRIDGE: No, I ain’t gonna bitch about it
‘Cuz there ain’t no way around it

Even time takes time
That’s one more thing I’m learning
And peace of mind
Is what you spend a long night earning

CHORUS: [REPEAT]
