Beautiful depiction of an otherwise beautiful song by Sting! The lyrics and chorus melody definitely fit and compliment the original music!

Through My Storm

Written by Cameron Scott

Through My Storms
By: Cameron D. Scott

Verse 1:
Lord, there’s no measure for the treasures written within your testaments
Ever since creation, you’ve gave men, the way to wrestle sin
Evidence suggests that yes we walk with violent men
But I have been through valleys death, blessed to rise again
Violins serenade, strings sing through Heaven’s Halls
Weather all the storms that’s formed, heed the reverend’s call
Be a blessing; fall to none of Satan’s clever tricks
Malevolence will lynch a man’s soul, expose this terrorist
Heaven sent benevolence, radiates from the Son’s light
Some nights I’ve cried, but God’s guided his Son’s sight
One might dream of days, we live in harmony
It’s commonly refuted, but music can soothe the common beast
On my knees praying, say words of encouragement
Urging this rebuttal for struggle, humble as servants get
Troublesome and murderous, pondering in this land lost
A man’s thoughts confined in pride, divides a man’s heart.

Chorus:
Through my trails and my storms
I found peace within the Lord
From the day he came to me
He took these chains and made me free
(Repeat 2x)

Verse 2:
Every day that I’m living, sinning, this prison is a test for me
God’s directing me, towards perfection, knowing my flesh is weak
Heaven please open your window, trickle a blessing down
This pressure’s bond, to falter my judgment, nothing but questions now
Never found my purpose, but searching brought me within your reach
Cause when you speak, the men you teach, dreaming seeking for inner peace
Is it me, or is there a message etched in the souls of men
Exposing them to open their focus, closing their doors to sin
Knowing then, that there is a reason, seeking the face of God
Staying Shod in his armor, no longer somber facing odds
Thanking God’s the greatest way, to praise his name through sacrifice
I know His light is bright, but I need it to reach my afterlife
Disaster strikes, when men enraged, engage within the heat of war
Leaving more, to yearn, least I burn, my need for peace is more
Jesus mourned, though he was born, to save this age of men
Awakened them, but Satan’s been waiting patient to take them in

Chorus:
Through my trails and my storms
I found peace within the Lord
From the day he came to me
He took these chains and made me free
(Repeat 2X)

Verse 3:
I wrestle daily, but maybe, one day my essence can rest in peace
The lessons we’ve learned, can be turned into words to bless the weak
Forever meek, though weather’s bleak, I seek to preach the word of God
Discerning minds, decide if I’m inclined to reach the hurting lives
Searching high, and low through your lessons, resting in Heaven’s bliss
The weather shifts, but never did you leave us, though you’re Heaven sent
Lord you are my savior, creator of Worlds and righteousness
Enlighten men, to strike without fighting, despite their life of sin
Time again, you’ve showed us your mercy, worthy of nothing more
Destructive wars, have torn us apart, no heart can entrust these shores
Touch me Lord; allow me to further your reach across the globe
Off and on, we’ve struggled too troubled, to take this walk alone
Often songs render us speechless, leaving our souls to sing
Opening the windows of Heaven bless me to show these wings
Lowly kings, have shackled your children, millions have lost their lives
Taught to die, for what we call freedom, feed them these faulty lies
(Calmly I’ve walked through this darkness, taught men to seek His light
Even I, am only a vessel, been blessed to bring men sight.) Repeat 2x

Chorus:
Through my trails and my storms
I found peace within the Lord
From the day he came to me
He took these chains and made me free
(Repeat 2X)
