About This Song

Starting over.

Feedback Requested

Critique on the production, as it's not at all polished but has a clear enough direction to comment on.

I don’t have any experience with production, but I know others on Frettie do, so I look forward to their feedback for sure. I will say I found this enjoyable and full of nice little subtleties that I hope you keep as you continue with it.

The vocal production is certainly going in the right direction here. There is enough texture to keep you interested in each section.

The guitar is lovely, and the percussions are fine, but I would definitely consider some type of alternate ideas there. It’s almost too steady. I would consider adding something along with the drums, even if it is in spots.

I like this song very much. It is beautiful, and that’s important.

I love your melodies (based on the 2 songs I’ve listened to). And on this song, the simple harmony you added was very effective. I’m a fan.

The only thing I might say is that I noticed you had the vocals panning from one ear to the other just in one spot of the song. It’s very creative I like that but it seemed to be panned to far for my taste. It kinda messed with my head a bit. With the vocals in that creativity I would recommend keeping the panning not so far too one side so that you can hear it in both ears but still more in one side. Anyway just something that stuck out to me. Great stuff!

Let’s Try - Scratch...

Written by Wonder

I've tried to keep you at bay
I've tried to tell you I'm not safe
But you're standing in the doorway
Feet are planted in the clouds
And your eyes say that you're mine

So let's try
Let's try

The night you ran in from the rain
Headlights, refusal to escape
Please be cautious, we're enchanted
I'm not brave enough to trust
I can't promise I won't run

But I'll try
I'll try

I'll try to stay, I'll try my hardest
Anticipate, I'll break your heart
But if you'll wait and beg to differ
Then I will see the end of winter

Let's try
Let's try
