That’s What I

2020 has brought out the worst in us. There is a temptation to see people through the lens of "good guy - bad guy". I went into self reflection for this song and asked myself, "What do I believe?"

She Sang Me Home

© Sam Speirs & Ray Weaver 2017

This is a homesick song. It's the story of a guy from the West Cork village of Skibbereen in Ireland who finds himself in New York. He heads for an Irish pub and a young girl sings a song about his hometown. This was a collaboration with my friend Ray Weaver.

Have Mercy On Me

I was imagining what it must have been like to have been a dirt farmer during the Great Depression and losing everything. How would you pray in that situation? Everything gone.
