I was raised in a small country town in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in New York. There were only 55 kids in my graduating class, most of whom had been together since Kindergarten. Country music played in my house all day long and still does to this day (from Kitty Wells to Keith Urban) I moved to Los Angeles after college where I currently live with my awesome husband and three amazing daughters!

Instruments & Skills
I am bound & determined to learn to play the new guitar I got for Christmas! No more excuses! I can read music and played alto saxophone in band for 6 years (but not since). I was a Theater Major in college so I have experience singing as a character onstage but am terrified to sing as myself. I will however sing for 4 hours straight on the car ride to Las Vegas!
Influences
I began writing when I was in my early 20's after I had seen the movie "The Last Waltz". I was so influenced by Robbie Robertson, that I wrote my first song, called "Man in the Band" and sent it to him. He was so kind sending me a handwritten note with an autograph picture saying "It always feels good to write that first one....keep writing" ...I was raised on country music throughout my entire life and although I tend to favor the sound of 90's Country (Garth Brooks,Toby Keith, Shania,Tim McGraw etc....) I was watching a Time Life commercial for 'The all time best of the CMA's" and I realized that I knew each and every one of the songs in the collection from Conway & Loretta to Lady A. I have been influenced by them all!!
