This is a song I wrote about how there are many different aspects to country music. How your definition of what you like country to be might be different than someone else! This song was sleepily recorded via my cell phone at 6am this morning before work. Sorry if its missing any pzazz.

This is a song I've written as a duet (I'm singing both parts because its just me and my pets right now!) I wanted the song to just stay retrospective...and not get inspirational or angry or add some life lesson at the end but just keep with the one emotion and just dig into that. Hopefully I accomplished that?

Hey everybody! This is the second take at a song I wrote awhile ago called "Hold On." I'm imagining a kid rock/Chris Stapleton style male vocal and nasty rock country guitar with heavy drums. I got a lot of feedback the first time about making sure the story is consistent. I think I fixed the story!

This song is about someone having enough of a situation, but being asked to stay a little longer. I was envisioning Chris Stapleton style male vocals, bluesy guitar and everything that goes along with the pop country style. Its a rough recording of just me and my guitar but I'll likely try to make a demo out of it.

This song is about memories of country life, gardening, singing, and Grandmothers porch. I wanted to write a simple old style bluegrass song that has a little more depth to it, possibly in the category of Gillian Welch's music. I will use studio musicians for mandolin, bass and bluegrass guitar to add the traditional style in it. I recorded this file before work yesterday so sorry if its a little groggy! haha.

This is cool! I wrote this thinking of Brent's songwriting challenge the other week on the topic of "couch". I sat down to give it a shot and something actually came out! Wrote this trying to use his 'positive upbeat' recommendations for writing commercial country songs. Its also a true story. My fiance and I work opposite shifts (I work nights at the hospital and he works construction days) so its kinda a big deal when the two of us actually have a night together where we can just relax on the couch at the same time. Was drawing from that experience in writing. Forgive the lo-fi cell phone recording of this song...its obviously in the works.
