I am a Lyricist. I do come up with melodies sometimes as I'm writing. I do not play anything but have a good ear. I give suggestions for the music when I have good ideas.
It asks for a Genre above and only allows one so I chose Folk, but I feel I can write in any genre. I have written country, blues, pop, rock besides folk. I have been doing a hip hop song with a track co-writer recently. I don't know if I can say I have other artists as influences. I enjoy great lyrics so any song that has well written lyrics I am a fan reguardless of genre. So great writers I like would be Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Towns Van Zant, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson just to mention a few.
A song about the hard things we all seem to go through in life and how to get past them and not get stuck in them.

This is a fast up-tempo rock song to make you want to get up and dance. 
Reminiscent of early rock and roll like Chuck Berry, Elvis, and Jerry Lee Lewis, but with a more modern sound.
